(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Muscat University (MU) last week hosted a delegation from Cranfield University, UK in its campus at Children's Public Library in Qurm.
MU's senior executive team held a meeting with the Cranfield delegation to discuss issues related to academic partnership between the two universities and plans for the next academic year.
In addition, MU organised an Open Day for prospective students to help them know more about Master's programmes that it will offer in partnership with Cranfield University in 2017-18.
The meeting resulted in in-depth discussions about various strategies for offering MSc programmes next academic year.
Further, MU's senior executive team updated the visiting delegation on the progress made towards starting the MSc programmes. The two parties discussed the proposed student admission process and programme duration for both full-time and part-time students.
The delegation visited the under-construction building of MU in Ghubra and reviewed plans to equip it with modern educational equipment to effectively support teaching and learning process.
It also reviewed preparations to enhance the online link to offer some joint lectures to students of both the universities via audio-video technologies.
Muscat University will offer six MSc programmes in 2017-18, Finance and Management, Management and Entrepreneurship, Air Transport Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Energy Systems and Thermal Processes & Process Systems Engineering.
