Jordan- Youth minister patronizes conclusion of peacebuilding workshop

Amman, December 6 (Petra) - Deputizing for HRH Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, Minister of Youth, Rami Wreikat, on Tuesday, patronized the conclusion of the Arab States Regional Workshop on Peacebuilding, hosted by the Kingdom over three days.

The event, which was organized by a number of United Nations organizations, was attended by young men and women representing 18 Arab countries, during which they discussed the role of youth in achieving peace and security and rejecting extremism and terrorism.

In s a speech during the ceremony, Wreikat said young people in all countries of the world have an important role in spreading the culture of peace and achieving international peace and security.

He pointed to the Crown Prince's role in supporting youth initiatives, adding that the Prince, through the "Global Forum on Youth, Peace and Security" that was held in Jordan in 2015, brought to the world's attention towards the importance of giving youth issues greater priority in policy-making.

He added that young people should be part of the solution in their home countries issues of and the next world peace should also be achieved by the young people themselves.
