Kuwait wins three awards in 3rd Gulf Film Festival


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ABU DHABI, Oct 20 (KUNA) - Kuwait has grabbed three awards in the Third Gulf Film Festival, concluded in Abu Dhabi Thursday.

The Kuwaiti movie "Habeeb Al-Ardh", directed by Ramadan Khesro, snatched the first place in the long narrative movies category, the jury announced at the closing ceremony.

In the animation movies category, Kuwaiti movie "Sandra", which directed by Yusuf Al-Bakhshi came first and Kuwaiti documentary movie "We Die to Live Kuwait" ranked second in the long documentary movies category.

The festival kicked off on Sunday with the participation of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and the hosts UAE.

It included the following awards for the best long documentary, short documentary, filming of a documentary movie, narrative movie, narrative short movie, narrative long movie, filming of a narrative movie, soundtrack, and best actor and actress. (end) bs.tb.ibi
