Morocco Steps up Effort to Ensure Security of Participants at COP22

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Moroccan authorities have stepped up their efforts to ensure high security at the twenty second session of the Conference of the Parties (COP22), which is scheduled to be held from November 7 through 18 in Marrakech, reported the Moroccan daily Al Massae on Tuesday.

Al Massae noted that the national security units have fostered additional law enforcement procedures at Menara Airport and Marrakech's tourist sites.

The event's officials will assign a specific group of officers to secure the safety of each dignitary and celebrity who will participates in the event, added Al Massae.

The General Director of National Security (DGSN) announced earlier this year that 10,000 police officers were selected from different districts of the kingdom to undergo special training at the Royal Police Institute in Kenitra.

These trained officers will be on duty during the event in order to guarantee the security of the participants and guests at COP22.
