Author and Managing Director of Publisher Savas Beatie Honored as Inaugural Recipient of New Award from Emerging Civil War


(MENAFNEditorial) EL DORADO HILLS, CA: August 30, 2016 Theodore P. Savas, author and managing partner of the regions prominent independent publisher Savas Beatie LLC, has just been announced as the inaugural recipient of Emerging Civil Wars new Brigadier General Robert Greely Stevenson Award for Service to Emerging Civil War.

The award was created to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Emerging Civil War, and is presented as occasion dictates to a person or entity that has performed invaluable service to Emerging Civil War.

Together, Emerging Civil War and Savas Beatie, under the direction of Theodore Savas, have pioneered the popular and engaging Emerging Civil War series, which guides readers through some of the Civil Wars most important battles and topics. The series was recently honored with the Lieutenant General Richard G. Trefry Award from the Army Historical Foundation for its contribution to the literature on the U.S. Army. The growing series consists of nearly two dozen titleswith several more on the wayincluding the latest, Dont Give an Inch, by Chris Mackowski, Kristopher D. White, and Daniel T. Davis.

Savas is humbled and honored to be the first recipient of this award. I am pleased that I was and am able to play a role in Emerging Civil Wars development, he states. About Theodore Savas: Theodore P. Savas holds a B.A. in history from the University of Northern Iowa and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.
