OIC offers condolences to victims of Makkah crane accident

JEDDAH 13th September 2015 (WAM) -- Organization of Islamic Cooperation has expressed deep sorrow for the deaths and injuries of a number of worshipers in Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah due to the collapse of a construction crane on Friday.

The Secretary-General of the OIC Iyad Ameen Madani has extended his condolences to the victims' families praying to God Almighty to grant His Mercy on the deceased and grant the injured a speedy recovery.

Mr. Madani praised the efforts of authorities and officials in dealing with the incident noting the tremendous efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia each year to provide services to millions of pilgrims facilitate their performance of Hajj and to provide all the necessary accommodations before during and after the performance of rituals and in serving the millions of Umrah performers and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque.
