Environment Society of Oman opens new office in Dhofar
(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) In partnership with Nama Group the Environment Society of Oman (ESO) recently opened an office in Dhofar as part of its ambitious expansion plans.
The inauguration was held under the auspices of Sheikh Salim bin Aufeit bin Abdullah al Shanfari head of Dhofar Municipality and was attended by ESO board members and staff Nama Group representatives and sustainability committee members government representatives and senior management of major companies operating in the governorate.
The new facility was developed as part of a Memorandum of Understanding between ESO and Nama Group signed in February 2015.
Mohammed al Mashani ESO's Dhofar board member said 'The opening of our first office in Dhofar reflects our growing commitment to the governorate. Since our inception we have developed a number of key projects and campaigns to support the environment in Dhofar including the Frankincense Research Project and native tree planting campaigns. With the launch of our new office we will be able to elevate and better coordinate our conservation and sustainability efforts in Oman's southernmost governorate.'
Commenting on the inauguration Eng Omar al Wahaibi CEO Nama Group said 'Our support for the new ESO office fits very well with our Sustainability Policy's environmental objectives. It is our shared responsibility to preserve and protect Dhofar's natural beauty.'
