(MENAFN) Nakheel, the Dubai-based master developer, granted a USD105.34 million deal to Van Oord to bring 23.5 kilometers of coastline and breakwaters at Deira Islands, Khaleej Times reported.
The agreement involves seashores, dock walls, rock edges and bulwarks at Deira Islands, which is established to turn Dubai's Deira district into a prime tourism and entertainment attraction.
In addition, the work includes a 4 kilometers stretch of beachfront, big enough to accommodate more than 500 yachts and boats, at the 4.5 million square meter south island.
