(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) fighting renewed between the Syrian opposition forces on one hand and the regular troops and pro-regime militias, on the other, at Al-Mleha front on the eastern outskirts of capital city on Sunday.
Several people including civilians and rival fighters were killed in the fighting, the Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) reported this evening.
The regular troops targeted positions of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in Al-Mleha town with four surface-to-surface missiles while the FSA launched mortar attacks on the government troops.
The FSA fighters also attacked the positions of the regular forces and their "loyal Lebanese and Iraqi militiamen" near the general administration of the air defense amid battles in Darayya town on the western outskirts of Damascus.
The air force attacked Jobar district of the capital city, and other sites controlled by the FSA in the towns of Al-Madniya, Jorat Al-Sheribaty, Al-Zabadani and Habil.
In coastal northwestern governorate of Latakia the regular troops, backed by the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Iraqi Islamic State in the Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) attacked the FSA forces in a bid to restore the Shalm tower and the other strategic positions on the Al-Turkman and Al-Akrad mounts.
In the eastern governorate of Deir Az-Zur eight ISIL fighters were killed in the fighting with Al-Nusra Front.
