(MENAFN) Kuwait's annual inflation hit 2.7 percent last year due to a decrease in food prices and the easing of price pressures, Times of Oman reported
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) said that the country's consumer price index (CPI) increased in December to 2.7 percent when compared to the corresponding month a year ago.
The December gain came as a surprise as inflation was expected to drop significantly in the month
The increase in December was driven mainly by the housing services component as it rose by 2 percent from November
