The Chairperson of the programme, Senator Rubina Khalid, said that the Benazir Income Support Programme is playing an important role in supporting poor families and helping them achieve financial independence, and that negative remarks against it are not justified.

She further stated that from the next financial year, the installment will be increased to 18,000 rupees, while from July onwards all payments will be made only through digital wallets.
