Bangladeshi Traditional Jamdani Saree, Panjabi Displayed At FAO Museum In Rome
The display has been arranged at the FAO Museum and Network (FAO MuNe) following continuous efforts and initiatives taken by the Bangladesh Embassy in Rome.
The Jamdani saree will be permanently exhibited at the museum's“Traditions and Innovations” gallery, while the Panjabi and Pajama will be displayed on a rotational basis.
The foreign ministry said the inclusion of these traditional Bangladeshi attires at the FAO headquarters will help present Bangladesh's rich textile heritage, agriculture-based lifestyle, rural culture, and craftsmanship to visitors from different countries at the international level.
Jamdani is globally recognized as one of Bangladesh's most iconic cultural and handloom traditions.
