Temperatures To Climb Slightly As Stable Summer Weather Prevails

Amman, June 2 (Petra) -- Temperatures are expected to edge higher through Thursday, while mild summer conditions continue to prevail across most areas, according to forecasts issued by the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Weather on Tuesday is forecast to remain close to seasonal averages, with mild conditions across most regions and relatively hot to hot weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds are expected, becoming active at times, particularly in eastern desert areas.

A slight increase in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, with mild summer weather continuing across most areas. Hot conditions will persist in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while northwesterly winds are forecast to remain moderate, occasionally becoming active.

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly again on Thursday. Conditions will remain generally mild across most regions, while relatively hot weather is forecast in desert areas and hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Medium- and high-altitude clouds are also expected to appear intermittently.

On Friday, weather conditions are forecast to remain largely unchanged, with mild summer weather prevailing across most areas and hot conditions continuing in low-lying regions.

Tuesday's temperatures are expected to range between 29 C and 16 C in East Amman and between 27 C and 14 C in West Amman. Highs will reach 33 C in the Badia, 36 C in the northern Jordan Valley, 38 C in the southern Jordan Valley, 37 C at the Dead Sea and 39 C in Aqaba.
