Goyal Holds High-Level Business Meetings In New York To Boost India-US Ties
The discussions mostly focused on strengthening India–U.S. trade and investment ties and expanding cooperation in emerging sectors.
During the visit, Goyal held one-on-one meetings with Harvey Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of Carlyle Group; Ted Pick, Chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley; Charles Kaye, Chairman of Warburg Pincus; Chintu Patel of Amneal Pharmaceuticals; and Michael Miebach, Chief Executive Officer of Mastercard.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the discussions covered trade and investment opportunities, supply chain resilience and collaboration in sectors including financial services, healthcare, digital payments, manufacturing, artificial intelligence, innovation and emerging technologies.
The meetings also focused on investment opportunities and India's business environment.
Goyal also addressed a gathering of more than 50 business leaders from the investment and trade community at an interaction organised in collaboration with the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum.
Discussions at the event focused on India's economic growth, ongoing reforms, ease of doing business and opportunities for collaboration across key sectors.
The Ministry said the engagements reflected continued business interest in India and highlighted the importance of industry-level collaboration between India and the United States.
