Japan Allocates Over $3 Billion To Subsidize Energy Bills During Summer
Tokyo:Japan decided Tuesday to allocate more than $3 billion for energy bills during the summer to ease the impact of the conflict in the Middle East.
In a cabinet meeting today, the Japanese government approved spending approximately 510 billion yen (about $3.2 billion) to help pay electricity and gas bills from July to September.
The government stated that the funds will come from the 1 trillion yen reserve funds booked in the initial fiscal 2026 budget.
