Trump Says Ready To Wait 'A Few Days' For Iran Deal Response
As reported by Reuters, Trump told reporters Wednesday that the situation has reached a“very sensitive point” and could escalate rapidly if no agreement is reached.
Trump said the US remains fully prepared for military action while stressing that Washington still hopes to resolve the crisis through negotiations. He also repeated that Iran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.
Iran, meanwhile, warned that any renewed US attack could expand the conflict across the region. Iranian officials and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said further military strikes would trigger a broader response.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi recently warned that a return to war would bring“more surprises,” amid continued tensions between Tehran and Washington.
Trump earlier said the war with Iran could end“very quickly” if talks succeed, but warned military operations could resume within days if negotiations collapse.
The US Congress has recently debated measures aimed at limiting presidential war powers regarding Iran, reflecting growing concern in Washington over the risk of a wider Middle East conflict.
