Louise Pryke

Dr. Louise Pryke is an Honorary Research Associate in the Department of Classics and Ancient History at the University of Sydney, and an Honorary Associate of Sydney's Department of Hebrew, Biblical and Jewish Studies.
Louise's research interests include the myths and narrative literature of the ancient Near East, and the interplay between humanity, animality, and divinity in the ancient world.
Louise is the author of Scorpion (2016), Ishtar (2017), Gilgamesh (2019), and Turtle (2021). Her new book, Wind, was published in June, 2023.
