Jordanian Ambassador Presents Credentials To Cuban President
Havana, May 14 (Petra)-- Ambassador Walid Khaled Obeidat on Thursday presented his credentials to Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez as Jordan's non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Cuba during an official ceremony held at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana.
Ambassador Obeidat conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Abdullah II to President Díaz-Canel, along with wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the friendly Cuban people.
For his part, President Díaz-Canel asked the ambassador to convey his greetings and appreciation to King Abdullah II, praising the King's wise policies and the friendly relations between the two countries.
He also expressed the Cuban government's interest in strengthening and expanding bilateral ties, wishing Jordan and its people continued progress and prosperity.
The credentials ceremony was attended by Acting Foreign Minister and First Deputy Foreign Minister Gerardo Peñalver Portal.
