No Delays In Delivery Of American Weapons Under PURL Program FM Sybiha

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry stated this on its website.

The head of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry emphasized that partners should strengthen their own capacity to produce critically important weapons and equipment. He added that Ukraine is open to such cooperation with allies, particularly with Poland.

"During the war, we learned an important lesson - we must become more self-sufficient. We have scaled up our defense-industrial complex and currently provide more than 40% of the army's needs ourselves. At the same time, Ukraine needs air defense systems capable of intercepting ballistic targets. We are now advancing the creation of our own national air defense system," Sybiha said.

The minister noted that Ukraine has already approached several partners regarding the localization of production for certain critically important weapons systems and has received several serious proposals.

Sybiha stressed that Ukraine's support for Gulf states "against the backdrop of Iranian terror" demonstrated Ukraine's new role as a security partner and exporter of security.

At the "Strategic Ark" conference, which was also attended by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, Sybiha emphasized that the time has come to strengthen Europe's role in peace efforts - not as an alternative to the main diplomatic track led by the United States, but as an important complement to it.

According to Sybiha, Europe's involvement in the peace process could help resolve specific issues, including ceasefire arrangements around airports.

"We expect six clusters to be opened in the near future. We count on the support of the Polish side. This also serves the interests of Poland and all of Europe," he said.

Sybiha once again stressed the need to maintain pressure on Moscow, preserve U.S. engagement, and increase the cost for Russia of continuing its aggression.

According to him, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin must realize that he will never achieve his goals in Ukraine, and that Russia's manpower advantage has been neutralized by Ukrainian drones operating in the air, at sea, and on land.

"Ukrainian unmanned technologies are a game changer and a factor that gives us an advantage. Over recent years, I have collected a small collection of diplomatic notes from very influential states urging us not to strike Russia during parades attended by their leaders. This is recognition of our capabilities and another signal: Ukraine should not be underestimated. Ukraine is holding the line, and we have strong arguments," Sybiha said.

He added that Ukraine is open to a Drone Deal with the U.S. and the EU, is cooperating with American partners, and is ready to contribute to protecting EU airspace with its own drones and technologies.

"We are talking about our unique combat experience, advanced technologies, and joint production. We are interested in scaling up this cooperation because it serves our shared interests. We also have agreements on sending Ukrainian instructors to train the armies of partner states," the minister said.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Sybiha also discussed with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels ways to further expand weapons production in Ukraine with support from the Alliance's industrial base.
