Armed Zionist Settler Enters School in West Bank, Causing Panic

(MENAFN) According to reports, an incident occurred in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday when an individual associated with an Israeli settlement entered a schoolyard in the town of Silat ad-Dhahr, south of Jenin, causing panic among students.

Witnesses said the individual drove a vehicle into the school area and chased students while displaying a weapon before leaving the scene. No injuries were reported, although the event reportedly caused significant fear among those present.

Video footage circulating online is said to show students fleeing the area as the incident unfolded.

As stated by reports, local Palestinian communities have increasingly reported similar incidents in various parts of the West Bank, which they describe as part of a broader pattern of escalating tensions and pressure in the region.

Figures cited by local organisations indicate a high number of reported incidents involving damage to property, land, and agricultural resources in recent months, alongside wider concerns about the expansion of settlements in the area.

The West Bank has experienced heightened instability since the outbreak of the Gaza conflict in October 2023, with continued violence, arrests, and displacement reported by various official and local sources.
