Landi Kotal: Governor KP Reviews Facilities For Returning Afghan Refugees
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi visited the Afghan Transit (holding) camp near Hamza Baba shrine in Landi Kotal, where he reviewed facilities provided for Afghan refugees returning to their homeland.
During the visit, officials from PDMA, NADRA, FIA, Customs, the Deputy Commissioner of Khyber, and Rescue 1122 briefed the governor on the arrangements at the site.
Authorities informed him that special facilities have been established at the Landi Kotal transit point to ensure the dignified return of Afghan refugees, with thousands of Afghan nationals crossing into Afghanistan daily through the Torkham border in a phased manner.

Talking to media, Governor Kundi said there is complete coordination between federal and provincial governments regarding the repatriation process of Afghan refugees. Responding to a question about border closures, he said Pakistan is supporting Afghan citizens while also taking necessary security measures to maintain law and order.
He also met Afghan refugees at the camp, listened to their concerns, and directed relevant departments to ensure maximum facilities for families awaiting return so that the process remains smooth, orderly, and dignified.
He added that Pakistan has hosted Afghan refugees for a long time and is committed to facilitating their respectful repatriation through all possible measures.
