Three Civilians Killed in Ukraine Drone Strike on Luhansk

(MENAFN) Russian-installed authorities in Ukraine's Luhansk region claimed Sunday that three people were killed and three others wounded after a Ukrainian drone struck a group of young civilians the previous evening, as the death toll from a separate Russian strike on Dnipro simultaneously rose.

Leonid Pasechnik, the Russia-appointed head of the region, announced the casualties via Russian social media platform Max, stating the attack occurred Saturday evening in the village of Bulhakovka, Kreminna municipal district. "An enemy drone deliberately struck young people who were outside near a house. Two eighteen-year-old young men and a 28-year-old girl died on the spot from their injuries. A fifteen-year-old boy and girl, as well as a 21-year-old young man, were wounded," he said.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine's Dnipro, the human cost of Russia's Saturday evening strikes continued to mount. Oleksandr Ganzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk military administration, announced via Telegram that the death toll had climbed to nine following the hospital death of an additional victim. "A 24-year-old man who was wounded during the evening attack of the Russians on the Dnieper River died in hospital. During the day, enemy strikes on the city ended 9 lives," he said.

On the offensive front, Ukraine's General Staff separately reported that overnight strikes successfully hit the Yaroslavsky oil refinery and air defense installations on Russian soil.
