Gaza Bleeds: Four Palestinians Killed in Fresh Israeli Attacks
(MENAFN) Four Palestinians — among them a 14-year-old child — were killed in the early hours of Sunday as fresh Israeli strikes tore through the Gaza Strip, even as a ceasefire agreement remains nominally in effect, medical sources told media.
Two of the victims were transported to Al-Shifa Medical Complex following an Israeli drone strike on a motorcycle near Kuwait Roundabout on Salah al-Din Street, southeast of Gaza City. A third Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli army gunfire in the Al-Mughraqa area of central Gaza. The fourth victim — a teenager — succumbed Sunday to wounds sustained the previous evening in an Israeli strike on the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.
Israeli forces also shelled areas east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to witnesses. In central Gaza, an Israeli helicopter unleashed gunfire over the eastern sectors of Al-Bureij refugee camp, accompanied by artillery bombardment. Israeli artillery further struck the eastern parts of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, while naval vessels fired shells along the city's coastline.
Gaza's government media office stated that Israel has now committed at least 2,400 documented violations of the ceasefire agreement reached last October, spanning killings, arrests, siege tactics, and starvation.
Figures released by the Health Ministry as of Friday show that Israeli ceasefire violations have killed 972 Palestinians and left 2,235 others wounded since the truce took effect.
Over the course of its two-year war on Gaza, Israel has killed more than 72,000 Palestinians, injured 172,000 others, and devastated approximately 90% of the territory's civilian infrastructure.
