Qatar Customs Adopts Agentic AI For Smarter, Efficient Operations
Doha, Qatar: The General Authority of Customs has announced the adoption of Agentic AI within the Al Nadeeb system, marking a significant step in its digital transformation strategy aimed at building a smarter, more efficient customs ecosystem.
In a social media post, the Authority said the integration was achieved by merging the end-to-end customs workflow cycle, a move expected to enhance operational performance and support timely, data-driven decision-making.
It said that Agentic AI represents an advanced generation of artificial intelligence systems designed to move beyond traditional execution models toward intelligent, goal-oriented operations.
According to the Authority, the technology is intended to help integrate procedures within a unified customs ecosystem, link data to measurable outcomes, strengthen the ability to detect unusual patterns and emerging risks that enables more effective decision-making across customs processes.
Key features of the system include enabling data-driven decision-making at all stages of operations, promoting consistency and objectivity while maintaining human oversight, and building a proactive, evidence-based compliance model.
