Iran Claims “Workable Framework” Shared with Pakistan to End US Conflict
(MENAFN) Iran has presented what it describes as a “workable framework” to Pakistan aimed at bringing a permanent end to the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Saturday, according to reports.
In a message posted on the social media platform X following his visit to Pakistan, Araghchi said discussions focused on restoring regional stability and ending the war, as stated by reports.
“We shared Iran’s position concerning a workable framework to permanently end the war on Iran,” he said, without providing further details.
He described his visit as “very fruitful,” praising Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue and referring to its “brotherly efforts” to support peace initiatives in the region.
However, Araghchi also expressed doubt about Washington’s approach, saying: “Have yet to see if the U.S. is truly serious about diplomacy,” according to reports.
Pakistan has been acting as a mediator between Tehran and Washington amid escalating tensions and attempts to restart stalled negotiations following recent military developments.
During his trip, Araghchi met Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad and is expected to continue his diplomatic tour with visits to Muscat and Russia, according to reports.
