Pharmaceutical Plant Opens In Oman

(MENAFN- Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA)) São Paulo – IZZ Pharma, an Omani pharmaceutical company, inaugurated a production unit this Wednesday (22) with an annual capacity of 20 million units of intravenous solutions in Nizwa Industrial City in the A'Dakhiliyah province, the ONA news agency said. The company was founded in 2022 by the healthcare group Taiba to serve both domestic and export demand.

According to Balquis, Oman's medical industries sector is undergoing a tangible transformation, with a total of 20 pharmaceutical and medical factories in operation. They produce more than 2,000 product lines and export to 32 countries, the director said, adding that another 18 factories are under construction. The IZZ Pharma facility spans an area of 20,000 square meters.

Finance Minister Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, patron of the ceremony, made a technical visit to the factory to tour its facilities. He observed the various stages of production and the quality control laboratories, and was briefed on operational processes and the technologies used in manufacturing.
