Capital's Credit Facilities Share Reaches 82%, Values JD29.552B In Q4 2025


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Amman accounted for the largest share of total credit facilities extended by the banking sector in the fourth quarter of 2025, at nearly 82 per cent, with a value of JD29.552 billion.

Irbid ranked second in terms of facilities based on geographic distribution, with around JD1.891 billion, followed by Zarqa at JD1.262 billion. Tafilah recorded the lowest share, at JD150 million, out of a total JD36.068 billion in facilities, according to Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) data.

A similar pattern was observed in deposits, with total deposits reaching about JD42.303 billion in the last three months of 2025, representing 84.6 per cent of the total deposits, which valued at around JD50 billion.

Irbid and Zarqa also ranked second and third in terms of geographic distribution of deposits during the same period, recording JD2.559 billion and JD1.896 billion, respectively, while Tafilah remained at the bottom with deposits of JD83 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
