Israel Announces Tel Aviv–Buenos Aires Direct Flight Route

(MENAFN) Israel unveiled a landmark direct flight route between Tel Aviv and Buenos Aires on Sunday, marking a pivotal moment in Israeli-Argentine relations as the two nations moved to deepen their diplomatic and economic partnership.

The announcement came during a joint press conference held between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and visiting Argentine President Javier, signaling a notable strengthening of bilateral engagement between the two governments.

National carrier El Al will operate the newly established route — a journey that will stand as the airline's longest direct flight in its entire history, underscoring the ambition and scale of the new air corridor.

The aviation milestone was one of several concrete outcomes to emerge from the leaders' meeting, as Netanyahu and Javier signed a package of bilateral cooperation agreements spanning multiple sectors, with the aviation deal serving as the centerpiece of the summit.

Netanyahu said the move is part of efforts to strengthen ties between the two countries, including cooperation in the fields of economy, technology, security and tourism.
