Irbid, April 19 (Petra) -- The Green Volunteer Program was launched on Sunday at the Kafr Al-Maa Integrated Youth Center, as part of an initiative implemented by the Ministry of Youth in cooperation with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The program, which engaged 30 male and female youth center members aged 15 to 17, aims to strengthen young people's role in addressing climate change, promote green economy concepts, and raise awareness of a range of environmental issues.
Delivered by trainer Fatima Khreisat, the program included training sessions on the fundamentals of climate change, its causes and impacts, as well as discussions on its effects on the environment, biodiversity, and public health, while also reinforcing the concept of environmental citizenship.
The program is part of the Ministry of Youth's broader efforts to empower young people and expand their active participation in environmental protection and sustainable development.
