Palestinian Gets Killed, Another Injured in Gaza Shooting

(MENAFN) According to reports, a Palestinian was killed and another was seriously wounded on Sunday following Israeli gunfire in different areas of the Gaza Strip, as tensions persist despite a ceasefire agreement.

Medical sources said the fatality occurred when Israeli military vehicles opened fire toward tents sheltering displaced families in the Halawa camp area east of Jabalia in northern Gaza.

In a separate incident, a 16-year-old was seriously injured after being targeted by a drone in the Al-Tahlia area of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. The teenager was transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital for treatment.

Additional reports indicated continued military activity across the enclave, including gunfire from vehicles and helicopters in central Gaza, as well as shelling in areas east of Khan Younis in the south. Coastal zones were also reportedly struck by naval fire.

These incidents come amid what authorities in Gaza describe as repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement in place since October 2025. According to reports, thousands of breaches have been documented, including attacks, arrests, and restrictions that have contributed to rising casualties.

Health authorities in Gaza have stated that hundreds of people have been killed and thousands more injured since the ceasefire began, as ongoing hostilities continue to affect civilian areas across the territory.
