Israeli Occupiers Torch Palestinian Home in West Bank

(MENAFN) Incidents in the West Bank included the burning of a Palestinian house, assaults on civilians, and multiple detentions by Israeli forces and settlers, according to reports.

In the town of Turmus Ayya, a group described as Israeli settlers stormed the area on Saturday and set fire to a home belonging to a Palestinian family. Residents reportedly confronted them, forcing them to withdraw. A vehicle belonging to another family was also burned in the same incident, with no injuries reported.

In a separate case in the area of eastern Hebron, an elderly Palestinian woman sustained bruises after being attacked while farming her land in the Wadi Khneis area, according to reports. Medical teams transferred her for treatment, while three of her sons were later detained by Israeli forces.

Additional raids and arrests were reported elsewhere in the West Bank. In the village of Beit Dajan, a young Palestinian was detained after being severely beaten near the village entrance, according to local sources.

Israeli forces also carried out a raid in eastern Nablus, detaining a man shortly after his release from detention. During the operation, troops reportedly used stun grenades and tear gas while entering his home, though no injuries were reported.

According to reports, the latest incidents are part of a broader surge in violence across the West Bank since October 2023, which has included large numbers of casualties, injuries, and arrests amid ongoing tensions in the region.
