Jordan Dispatches New Aid Convoy To Lebanon Under Royal Directives
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, April 16 (Petra) -- Jordan dispatched a new humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon on Thursday under royal directives, extending a series of relief operations aimed at supporting the country amid ongoing humanitarian pressures.
The convoy, consisting of 15 trucks carrying food supplies, medical aid, and relief materials, was sent on Thursday as part of coordinated efforts led by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization.
Secretary-General Hussein Al-Shibli said the shipment reflects Jordan's continued engagement in humanitarian support operations, carried out in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs.
He said the assistance responds to immediate needs on the ground, adding that the operations are part of an ongoing framework rather than a one-off intervention.
The latest convoy follows a larger shipment sent in March, which included 25 trucks, underscoring a sustained flow of aid to Lebanon in recent months.
