Ogilvy And Its Clients Shortlisted 17 Times For EMEA SABRE Awards

(MENAFN- PRovoke) LONDON-For the second year in a row, Ogilvy and its clients are being recognized with more EMEA SABRE Awards finalists that any other agency, with 17 campaigns shortlisted for this year's awards, which will be presented at our EMEA awards ceremony in London on Thursday, May 21.

Other firms whose consistent creativity on behalf of clients impressed the SABRE judges included Golin (shortlisted, including its JMW brand in the Nordic region, for 14 awards); UK creative shop Hope & Glory (shortlisted 13 times), and international agencies MSL and Weber Shandwick (including its dna communications healthcare brand) shortlisted 10 times each.

More firms with multiple nominations include Norway's Try (nine shortlisted campaigns); Edelman and The Romans (eight each); GRF+ of Romania (seven); Finn Partners, MHP, and Finland's Netprofile (six each).

“The shortlisted work demonstrates that the big global networks and the leading UK independents are still producing a lot of great work, despite the tough economic conditions the industry faced last year,” says PRovoke Media founder Paul Holmes, who chaired the SABRE judges.

“But we also saw a wealth of great work from the Nordics, enough to justify breaking the region into separate categories for Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden so we could recognize the best campaigns from each market.

“There's nothing surprising about any of that, but our judges did remark on the number of award worthy campaigns we saw from Africa this year, and also on the quality of the work coming out of Ukraine, where several campaigns emphasized humanitarian and relief efforts, but where others emphasized the importance of business continuity even in times of conflict-a theme that seems even more relevant in 2026.”

On the client side, there were six shortlisted campaigns from Mastercard, McDonald's, and Unilever (including the Dove and Hellmann's brands) and four each from BCR (Banca Comercialä‚ Romã), KFC, and Samsung.

The finalists were selected from among more than 2,000 entries, with the average category forcing the judges to choose between 20 and 30 entries and some categories including more than 50 entries.

“These campaigns are the best from the across the EMEA region, and the PR professionals who worked on them-the clients and the agencies-should be incredibly proud to have landed on our shortlist,” says Holmes.“In nearly every category we saw several award-worthy pieces of work and could only select a handful for the shortlists.”

The winners will be announced at the PRovoke Media EMEA SABRE Awards dinner, which will take place at The Brewery in London on May 21. Tickets and tables for the event are on sale now. A complete list of finalists is here.

In addition, May 21 will feature our PRovoke EMEA Summit, which will feature in-depth discussions on topics ranging from artificial intelligence in geopolitical turmoil, as well as a series of shorter, provocative interviews and presentations on the challenges shaping the future of PR.

May 22 will also feature a less formal, invitation-only event to celebrate the winners of our Middle East & North Africa SABRE Awards, announced earlier this year. This event will replace the planned Middle East PRovoke event, which was postponed due to the conflict in Iran and Lebanon.
