Qatar Participates In Meeting On Draft Arab Model Law To Prevent Hate Speech
Cairo: The State of Qatar participated in the 7th meeting of the joint committee of experts and representatives of the Ministries of Justice and Interior and relevant authorities in the Arab countries to study the "draft Arab model law for preventing hate speech," held Wednesday at the headquarters of the Arab League's General Secretariat in Cairo.
The State of Qatar was represented by Staff Col. Abdulhadi Saad Al Qahtani from the Ministry of Interior and Mohammed Salem Sultan Al Khawar from Qatar's Permanent Mission to the Arab League.
The meeting aims to finalize the draft law, which was proposed by the Ministry of Justice of the State of Kuwait, in preparation for submitting it to the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, in implementation of the council's decision at its 41st regular session, which stipulated studying the draft law in light of the observations of the Arab states.
