Ukraine's Usfs Hit Russian Chemical Plant In Cherepovets

“Enjoy your 'Apatite,' to the Cherepovets chemical plant – the domestic 'Easter eggs' delivered by the Birds of the Unmanned Systems Forces. This chemical giant produces hundreds of thousands of tons of ammonia, nitrate, and nitric acid annually. Its output serves as raw material for the production of TNT, RDX, and other components used in ammunition manufacturing,” Brovdi wrote.

Information about drone strikes on the ammonia production facilities of the Cherepovets Azot plant appeared online on April 13. According to preliminary data, there were at least two confirmed impacts.

The Cherepovets Azot plant accounts for about 6% of Russia's ammonia production and roughly 10% of total national ammonia output.

As reported by Ukrinform, on March 27, the governor of Russia's Vologda region, Georgy Filimonov, stated that eight“arrivals” were recorded at an industrial site in Cherepovets following a drone attack. He later reported that 10 UAVs were shot down over the industrial area. According to him, there was no damage to infrastructure and no casualties.

However, according to OSINT analysis by Astra, drones in Cherepovets also struck PJSC Severstal. One drone reportedly hit a blast furnace workshop. A video from the scene was filmed about 2 km from the fire's epicenter.
