Russians Attempt To Intensify Their Offensive In Pokrovsk Agglomeration - Defense Forces

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Major Hryhorii Shapoval, spokesperson for the Operation Task Force "East," stated this in a comment to Ukrinform.

"The situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains difficult. The invaders are trying to intensify their offensive in the Pokrovsk agglomeration, increase the number of assault infantry, and expand the use of long-range artillery and drone units. Despite constant enemy pressure, our units continue to hold their positions, particularly in the northern part of Pokrovsk," he said.

According to the spokesperson, in response to the enemy's active actions, Ukraine's Defense Forces are conducting countermeasures that help restrain the advance of Russian troops in this area.

"Under active resistance from Ukraine's Defense Forces, the enemy has slowed its advance and is attempting to step up activity, particularly toward the settlement of Hryshyne. The assault groups deployed by the occupiers are being destroyed," Shapoval emphasized.

As reported, over the past day, April 12, Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 Russian assault attempts in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Zatyshok, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Molodetske, Muravka, and Novopavlivka.
