Ghalibaf Says US Failed To Gain Iran's Trust In Talks
According to Reuters, US Vice President JD Vance said on Sunday that the US negotiating team left Pakistan after 21 hours of talks with Iran without reaching an agreement.
Tasnim News Agency also reported that the talks between Iranian and US delegations concluded without an agreement, with both sides failing to reach a deal due to what it described as“US overreach and ambitions.”
Meanwhile, Ghalibaf wrote on the social media platform X that his team presented 168 forward-looking initiatives, but the opposing side ultimately failed to gain the trust of the Iranian delegation in this round of talks.
He added that before the talks he had stressed Iran's goodwill and determination, but said that due to past experiences of two previous wars, there was no trust in the other side.
He stated that Iran considers“diplomatic power” a method alongside military struggle to secure the rights of its people.
Ghalibaf noted that the US understood Iran's logic and principles and now it must decide whether it can gain Iran's trust or not.
