Speaking at a musical opera 'Mata Sukrala Ki Kahani' at Abhinav Theatre here, the Lieutenant Governor said a strong nation is built on the integrity of its citizens, shared values and mutual trust, not merely on physical infrastructure.

“Nation-building is rooted in our shared mindset. A strong nation stands on citizens' integrity, common values, and trust among people, not just buildings. My message to the youth is that true nationhood comes alive when self-interest gives way to community good,” he said.
Emphasising that nation-building is a collective responsibility, Sinha said the biggest challenge today is the perception that it is only the government's duty.“Aware citizens guide a nation's path because indifference undermines even the mightiest systems. We must awaken our sense of duty, and culture will anchor our identity,” he added.
Highlighting the role of cultural heritage, the Lieutenant Governor described it as a powerful societal resource that shapes thinking, behaviour, values and beliefs. He urged young people to reconnect deeply with their roots, warning that disconnect from culture weakens society.
“Humanity cut off from cultural roots loses its power. Youth anchored in heritage will prove unstoppable in nation-building,” he said.

He also underlined that reviving cultural traditions through artistic mediums is an investment in the future.“When we revitalise these traditions, we are not merely recalling the past, but preparing future generations to lead with a strong moral and cultural compass,” he said.
Referring to the legend of Mata Sukrala Devi depicted in the opera, Sinha said truth, faith and love for the motherland bind people together and strengthen nation-building efforts. He noted that Duggar culture, with its vibrant stories, arts and folk practices, carries timeless wisdom from elders to the youth.
“Our ancient culture embodies bravery, togetherness, devotion and responsibility. Reviving it through diverse art forms honours our history while fueling the future,” he said.
