Dry Spell In J&K Likely From April 13: Met
An official at the MeT Centre Srinagar said brief spells of light rain or thundershowers are likely at scattered locations on April 9 and 10, with the possibility of hailstorms at isolated places during afternoon hours.

The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy on April 11 and 12, with brief spells of light rain at a few places towards evening. Conditions are likely to turn generally dry from April 13 to 14. Thereafter, cloudy skies with light rain at isolated places are expected on April 15 and 16, followed by another dry spell from April 17 to 20.
Farmers have been advised to resume agricultural operations in view of the improving weather conditions. The department has also forecast a gradual rise of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures over the next six days.
Meanwhile, Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 17.1°C, which is 1.7 degrees below normal, and a minimum of 7.0°C, slightly above normal. Qazigund recorded a maximum of 16.2°C and a minimum of 5.6°C, while Pahalgam registered 11.8°C and 3.0°C respectively.
Kupwara recorded a high of 16.4°C and a low of 4.0°C, while Kokernag settled at 14.6°C maximum and 4.8°C minimum. Gulmarg, the coldest place in the Valley, recorded a maximum of 5.5°C and a minimum of minus 2.5°C.

Bhaderwah recorded a maximum temperature of 15.5°C and a minimum of 3.4°C, the MeT office said.
