Morocco Sees 13 Percent Surge in Fuel Prices
(MENAFN) Fuel costs in Morocco surged by roughly 13% on Wednesday, driven by supply interruptions linked to the ongoing war.
Diesel prices climbed from 12.79 dirhams ($1.37) to 14.50 dirhams ($1.55), while gasoline jumped from 13.92 dirhams ($1.49) to 15.60 dirhams ($1.67), marking the second increase in rates since the conflict in Iran began.
Global markets have experienced amplified instability due to the US-Israeli war on Iran, with escalating oil prices intensifying worries over inflation.
Since Feb. 28, Gulf nations have been subjected to Iranian retaliatory strikes, which have inflicted damage on critical infrastructure, including airports, ports, and energy installations.
