Trump Is Not Planning to Replace DNI Gabbard–White House
(MENAFN) The White House denied reports suggesting that President Donald Trump is considering replacing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, labeling the claims as “totally fake news.”
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung said on Thursday that Trump has "total confidence" in Gabbard.
The remarks came after media reports suggested that Trump had considered replacing Gabbard due to concerns about her handling of internal intelligence matters. Trump is also reportedly reviewing additional dismissals following his recent removal of Pam Bondi as attorney general on Thursday and Kristi Noem as homeland security secretary last month.
"The president has assembled the most talented and impactful Cabinet ever, and they have collectively delivered historic victories on behalf of the American people," Cheung added.
