Israel Pushes Back Security Cabinet Meeting Amid Military Operations
(MENAFN) A meeting of Israel’s security cabinet that was scheduled for Friday has been postponed to Saturday, according to Israeli media reports.
In its place, a “limited security discussion” will take place on Friday, a reporter for the Israeli newspaper Maariv noted on the US social media platform X.
The talks come as Israel continues its military operations against Iran and Lebanon. Israeli media reported that the Security Cabinet had been expected to receive updated briefings on the ongoing campaigns.
On Friday, Israeli strikes reportedly killed at least four people and injured others across Lebanon, according to a Lebanese news agency.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that Israel would maintain its military actions. “Together with our American friends, we are continuing to strike the terrorist regime in Iran,” he said in Tel Aviv. “We are eliminating commanders, bombing bridges and striking infrastructure.”
On Thursday, over 100 US-based international law experts signed an open letter warning that US-Israeli strikes on Iran may constitute “war crimes.”
