Israel’s Airstrikes Leave Many Dead, Wounded in Lebanon


(MENAFN) Israeli assaults on Lebanon have resulted in 23 deaths and 98 injuries over the past 24 hours, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported on Thursday.

In a statement shared by a news agency, the ministry added that the overall death toll since March 2 has reached 1,368, with 4,138 people sustaining injuries.

The casualties include 125 children and 91 women.

Israel has carried out airstrikes and launched a ground offensive in southern Lebanon following a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2.

Lebanese authorities noted that nearly 1,318 people have been killed and 3,935 wounded since the start of the Israeli operations.
