Israeli Army Reports Coordinated Strikes on Iran’s Nuclear-Linked

(MENAFN) The Israeli army announced on Saturday that it carried out a series of airstrikes targeting locations associated with Iran’s nuclear activities and weapons manufacturing across multiple regions, according to reports.

In an official statement, the military said that more than 50 fighter jets from the Israeli Air Force took part in a coordinated operation on Friday, focusing on what it described as infrastructure tied to the Iranian government.

The statement indicated that the operation unfolded in three separate waves over several hours, with strikes hitting sites connected to nuclear-related work in the cities of Arak and Yazd, along with facilities involved in weapons production.

Among the locations mentioned was the heavy water plant in Arak, which the military described as a key installation for producing plutonium used in nuclear weapons.

The army also stated that a site in Yazd was targeted, alleging that it is used in the production of explosive materials linked to uranium enrichment processes.

Additional strikes reportedly hit a military industrial facility involved in manufacturing different types of weaponry, as well as a location tied to Iran’s Defense Ministry that the military claimed is used for developing advanced explosive systems.

The statement further alleged that some of the targeted facilities play a role in supplying weapons to Hamas and Hezbollah, and that one of the sites struck was involved in producing components for ballistic missiles and air defense systems.

There has been no immediate response from Iranian officials regarding these claims, according to reports.
