Damien is a Lecturer in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University. His background is in communication and public relations, screen, and media and cultural studies. His research interests include communication practice in creative and entertainment industries, production culture, participatory culture, celebrity, and gender and sexuality. His PhD research investigates the influence of production culture processes on gender and sexually diverse representations in Australian scripted television.
