290 U.S. Military Personnel Wounded Since Iran War Commenced
(MENAFN) At least 290 American service members have sustained injuries since the United States and Israel launched coordinated airstrikes against Iran on Feb. 28, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) disclosed Wednesday.
Of those wounded, 10 troops remain hospitalized in serious condition, CENTCOM spokesperson Tim Hawkins said in a statement distributed to media outlets.
"All but 35 troops have returned to duty after receiving medical treatment," Hawkins said.
The casualty toll has grown more severe: 13 U.S. troops have been killed since the onset of the ongoing military confrontation with Iran, CENTCOM confirmed.
The figures represent the most comprehensive accounting of American military casualties released since hostilities erupted nearly a month ago, offering a sobering measure of the human cost as the conflict between Washington, Tel Aviv, and Tehran shows no immediate signs of resolution.
