Ukraine Shares Experience On Energy Infrastructure Resilience With EU Kuleba
“The European Union is consistently moving toward a green transformation, which is a strategically important course. At the same time, new security challenges, particularly those related to hybrid and military threats, impose additional requirements on the resilience of energy systems,” Kuleba noted.
He stressed that Ukraine's experience shows the critical importance of diversifying energy sources.
“Thanks to the combination of different types of generation - nuclear, hydro, thermal, and others - our energy system has remained manageable and stable even under systemic combined attacks. This flexibility and diversity allow us to balance the system under constant pressure and ensure the basic needs of the population and the economy,” the Vice Prime Minister said.

“The European Union has taken an important step by adopting the Preparedness Union Strategy. As highlighted in the conference concept, preparedness must involve governments, businesses, civil society, and citizens. Ukraine can contribute to this discussion not only as a partner but also as a country with real, practical experience of functioning under extreme conditions,” he emphasized.
As reported earlier, Kuleba believes Europe still has time to prepare for crisis situations linked to military threats, and this time must be used as effectively as possible.
