Peter Bengtsen
- Senior Lecturer in Art History and Visual Studies, Lund University
Peter Bengtsen is an art historian and sociologist who has written extensively about street art, graffiti and urban public space.
In addition to numerous essays, articles and anthology contributions, he has authored three monographs: The Street Art World (2014), Street Art and the Environment (2018) and Tracks and Traces. Exploring the World of Graffiti Writing through Visual Methods (2023).
In 2018, he co-founded the interdisciplinary research network Urban Creativity Lund. Since 2024, Peter co-edits the journal Public Art Dialogue.
He is currently Associate Professor of Art History and Visual Studies at Lund University, Sweden.
