EU Hopes To Persuade Hungary On Ukraine Loan By Week's End Kallas
“This is enforcement of the decisions that have already been made on the leaders level, and Hungary also agreed to this decision,” Kallas stressed in response to a question about how the EU plans to act amid Hungary's veto on launching a €90 billion loan for Ukraine.
She added that EU leaders – António Costa, President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission – are dealing with the issue.
“We will have an EU Council meeting at the end of this week, so hopefully we will push Hungary to stick to the agreements that they have also made,” Kallas said.
