May 9 Radio Pakistan Attack: Charge Sheet Names KP Chief Minister, Former Ministers

An important development has emerged in the case related to the attack on the Radio Pakistan building in Peshawar on May 9, where the investigation officer has submitted the charge sheet in the Anti-Terrorism Court.

According to the charge sheet, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has also been nominated in the case.

In addition, former provincial ministers Taimur Saleem Jhagra and Kamran Bangash, district president Irfan Saleem, and worker Aamir Chamkani have also been included among the accused.

Police stated that the suspects were nominated based on the report of the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) and records from NADRA.

The investigation officer said that after the forensic evidence and NADRA report, the names of the Chief Minister and others were added to the charge sheet.

The complete charge sheet has been submitted to the Anti-Terrorism Court in Peshawar, after which further proceedings in the case will continue in court.

It is worth mentioning that the Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory had completed a detailed analysis of videos and audiovisual material related to the May 9 incidents on the request of Peshawar Police.

According to the report, the presence of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Kamran Bangash, Taimur Saleem Jhagra, and Irfan Saleem during the May 9 incidents was confirmed.

The forensic report was based on the material contained in a USB sent by Police Station Sharqi Peshawar, which included 16 videos that were reviewed frame by frame.

According to the report, no evidence of editing was found in several videos, however, in some videos the addition of logos and text was identified.
